Renewable Energy For Your Home
Let’s be honest here, the demands for energy is not getting any lower. There are more homes being built every year, the population is steadily growing, and as a general rule of thumb people are just getting greedier. With that said, the majority of resources we are currently using to generate our electricity in our homes are limited. Eventually, the world will run out of these resources and we will require new and more innovative ways to generate the electricity we demand.
Luckily, the new technology out there is already available. The demand is slowly increasing for wind energy at homes nationwide. The cost in comparison to use of other resources is not quite as efficient, but the demand is quickly rising and with more being sold, this lowers the expense.
If you might be interested in utilizing wind energy you should see if you meet the following criteria:
1: You should have at least one acre of land available to house the wind energy unit.
2: You should have at least 11 mile per hour winds on average in your area. Any less wind flow would not allow the system to work properly.
Systems for wind energy can vary in size. However, most all are very tall systems which are considered to be towers. Atop the tower the system will have three to five blades used to capture the wind. Heights of the system can also vary based on how much wind you have in the area. It is often needed to be taller if there are a lot of obstructions of the wind.
The great thing about wind energy is that you may not only be fueling your homes energy. Often times, the energy can be transported back to the energy provider. In essence, they are paying you!
Adam lives in Costa Rica with his wife Sarah. They live fully off the grid and love it. You can get the same plans they used for their solar and wind systems and you too can live off grid.
